23 October 2011

It's that time of year again.

Time for the potted plants that summered outside to come in for the winter. We spent our morning bringing them in.  Well, my husband spent the morning bringing them in. (He still needs to bring in our potted palm and a rather large, tropical, flowering bush, but we had to finish clearing away a few things and sweep.)

I mostly spent the morning turning these tin bucket bits I found at Ikea into hanging pots for my spider plants so that we can finally take advantage of the great sunlight the kitchen window gets. They are hanging with big hooks (also from Ikea) from an old tension rod from our college days.
The weather is still holding out pretty nicely, but the nights are getting colder and the next few weeks will be busy for us. So we decided this was a good weekend for this project.
